Welcome to FarmGate Veterinary Group. As an XLVet member practice, we adhere to the motto “Excellence in Practice”

FarmGate Veterinary Group is a six vet specialist farm animal and equine veterinary practice based in East Galway. Formerly known as Geraghty & Neary Veterinary, the practice has evolved from the original veterinary practices of Michael Cogavin MRCVS and Joe Connolly MRCVS both formed in the 1960’s and has served the farmers of the region ever since.

Our primary focus as a farm animal practice is commitment to the agri-food industry through excellence in practice. Technical expertise, service to clients and dedication to herd and flock health management are all fundamentals to the core of our practice.

We provide our farm animal and equine clients with an all-inclusive veterinary service which includes, veterinary clinical calls, TB testing, herd health planning, mastitis control programmes, fertility work, scanning, equine stud work, knowledge transfer, laboratory services and farmer training.

Our clients can rely on a 24-hour emergency service managed successfully with a six vet specialist large animal only designated team.

The practice team are experienced, friendly, approachable and always on hand to offer advice and deal with queries in a professional manner.

The office and farm shop is based in Mountbellew, Co. Galway. The branch in Ahascragh, Ballinasloe, Co. Galway holds clinics twice daily. Conveniently, you can now order products from our online farm shop following consultation with one of our vets.
